A portrait of Lidiia Petrovna Gets (born 1929), an inhabitant of the town of Iurga, Kemerovo oblast’ and a former special settler, taken in 1960. The photograph was given to the Iurga Municipal Local History Museum in 2005 for the preparation of an exhibition called “Nemtsy v Sibiri: stroitel’stvo goroda Iurgi i sud’by spetspereselentsev” [“The Germans in Siberia: the Building of the Town of Iurga and the Fate of the Special Settlers”]. Detailed annotation | A photographic portrait of Lidiia Petrovna Gets (born 1929), a former special settler, taken in 1960 in the town of Iurga, where she remained living after being removed from the special settlers’ register. It was given to the Museum in 2005 when it prepared an exhibition entitled “Nemtsy v Sibiri: stroitel’stvo goroda Iurgi i sud’by spetspereselentsev” [“The Germans in Siberia: the Building of the Town of Iurga and the Fate of the Special Settlers”]. Before it was given to the Museum, L.P. Gets kept the photograph in her personal archive. |
