A photograph of a family of special settlers, the Morozovs, who, in 1931, were de-kulakized and exiled from Bashkiria. It was taken in 1967 in Anzhero-Sudzhensk, Kemerovo oblast’. Description of exhibit | A black-and-white picture of a group of people (5 people) against a rural background. An elderly woman (standing, extreme left) is wearing a light-coloured jacket with buttons and a checked skirt and an apron with a vertical stripe. To her left is a young woman (standing) wearing a dark coat with a turn-down collar. In front of this woman is standing a boy in a dark suit and a uniform peaked cap. To her left is a man (standing) wearing a dark overcoat, dark trousers and a light-coloured cap. He is carrying a woman’s handbag in his left hand. On his left is another man (standing) wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers, tucked into rubber boots, and a light-coloured peaked cap. |

Detailed annotation | A photograph of a family of special settlers, the Morozovs, who were de-kulakized and exiled from Bashkiria in 1931. It was taken in Anzhero-Sudzhensk in 1967. The photograph is on show in an exhibition in the ethnography hall entitled “Spletenie sudeb” [“The Intertwining of Fates”]. The names of the members of the family are not given. |
